Welcome to Alter Counseling Services, a full-service Counseling agency located in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri. We offer individual, family, and group counseling for adults, children, and adolescents. These counseling services are available for you or your referred client through 18 licensed psychologists, social workers, and counselors with years of experience and expertise. However, given the unique needs of many of your clients, we have additional services to go far beyond counseling. We offer:
- Psychological evaluations for both English and Spanish speaking individuals.
- Para-professional services of Mentors and Parent Aides.
- All our services at the site where they are needed; be it at our modern offices, in the client's home, or elsewhere.
- Providers skilled in working in a case management environment and knowledgeable in writting professional reports and giving expert testimony.
Over the next few weeks, this site will be expanded to provide the following:
- A page to assist you in accessing our services/referring your clients to us.
- A page updated monthly on changes taking place at Alter Services.
- A page of community resources outside this agency that will help you/your client in a number of different concerns.
- A page listing each of our providers and her or his contact numbers as well as profiles of two providers, changed monthly.
- A page written by the agency director or other provider about specific topics in the mental health field.
